Cooly Eco Adventures On The Australian News

Whilst studying my MBA on the Gold Coast, I was eager stay close to my passion of marine mammals and contribute to a company driven by a mission I deeply believe in. Several of my classmates mentioned local tour companies offering swim-with-humpback-whales experiences. Swim with whales… but this time in the wild? I was sold.

One opportunity led to another, and I soon joined Cooly Eco Adventures. Getting to guide guests as they swim with humpback whales and turtles has been nothing short of unforgettable.

Now that it’s December and the whales have finished their migration south to Antarctica, our focus has shifted to turtle swim tours. Cook Island, home to an abundance of Green Sea Turtles, provides the perfect environment for these experiences.

Recently, we welcomed a photographer Luke Marsden on board who was shooting for The Australian as part of a feature on eco-tourism in Tweed Heads. I was fortunate to guide that tour and share both my passion and our company’s mission: delivering environmentally conscious eco-tourism and meaningful education for our guests.

The Australian has since published the article—check it out! And be sure to visit Luke Marsden’s page as well; he’s an incredibly talented photographer whose work captures the magic of the ocean and beyond.

Stay tuned for more stories from my ocean adventures with Cooly. Mother ocean never fails to deliver!
